A Message From Dr. Larson
Welcome to Larson Chiropractic!
Chiropractic as a profession is not very old. The first adjustment was given by D.D. Palmer in Davenport, Iowa in 1895 to Harvey Lillard, a deaf janitor that worked in his building. Even though the profession is young however, the ideas and practices of Chiropractic are as old as civilization. Ancient Philosophers from around the world passed down the ideas of spinal health affecting the health of the whole body. Since that first adjustment, Chiropractic has grown into the discipline that it is today. The human body is a remarkable organism. From digestion, respiration, movement, circulation, and even healing itself, when the body is functioning properly, it is a masterpiece. But when there is dis-function, the body cannot perform optimally. This dis-function can be traced back to neurological signals being interrupted between its source (the brain) and the intended organ or tissue. Chiropractic focuses on finding and removing neurological interruptions to restore the optimal performance of the human body.As a life-long Chiropractic patient, I have enjoyed these benefits my whole life. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, it is my goal to pass on to you and your family the best health care I can give.
Sincerely,Dr. Richard Larson, D.C.
P.S. Harvey Lillard, the first patient, regained his hearing shortly after that adjustment.
